In conjunction with the City of Mishawaka’s Planning Department and residents along Mishawaka Avenue, Lehman & Lehman developed a conceptual master plan for the redevelopment of Mishawaka Avenue between Logan Street east to Main Street, including Battell Park. Traffic calming elements, on-street parking, and pedestrian enhancements are the main components of this plan.
The intersection of Mishawaka Avenue and Logan Street was also studied for better drive lane alignment running east to west. The first proposal suggests a traditional intersection with new landscape medians. The second proposal suggests a roundabout development that would eliminate the need for a traffic signal.
