Valparaiso Parks and Recreation commissioned Lehman & Lehman to assist with the design and development of a 38-acre tract of land referred to as the Heinold Property.
The Conceptual Master Plan for the new park development included an environmental learning center, formal gardens, passive recreation and the Valparaiso Parks and Recreation Departmental Offices and Maintenance Facility. The Master Plan included provision for future recreational developments, such as aquatic facilities, etc.
In order to unify the park setting, Lehman & Lehman established standards for landscape plant materials, construction details, pedestrian circulation, lighting, and signage.
