Greenwood, Indiana
Project Detail Information

The City of Greenwood commissioned Lehman & Lehman to design a city-wide trail and greenway infrastructure plan. The project scope included better identification and connectivity of destination points along with a trail and greenway standard that better addressed existing and future trail needs. Community input and focus groups enabled Lehman & Lehman to design a community-backed plan that included overall trails and greenways, routing plans by segments, trail type identification, and funding source identification.
Lehman & Lehman used the “Hub & Spokes” concept to design a routing master plan that included over 65 miles of trails and walkways throughout the community, making full use of the City’s existing trails, sidewalks, parks and community features. In addition to the development of the Alternative Transportation Enhancement Plan, Lehman & Lehman conducted a separate Recreation Impact Fee Study that set forth a funding vision for future trail and greenway developments.
