Purdue University commissioned Lehman & Lehman, Inc. to assist in the design and development of their new Outdoor Sports Courts due to their displacement by campus expansion.
In order to meet the student demand, Purdue University needed to develop space for more outdoor recreational activities. The growing interest in outdoor sand volleyball on campus led to the design and implementation of four sand volleyball courts, two of which are lighted. Two outdoor basketball courts were also constructed adjacent to the volleyball courts, due to the construction of a new dining hall at their former site.
Professional assistance included coordination with the Recreational Sports Division, the Purdue Construction Department, as well as the preparation of necessary construction drawings based on the Feasibility Study previously prepared by Lehman & Lehman, Inc.
